It’s why ICS Cremation & Funeral Home works with veterans cemeteries across North Florida—including in Lake City, Watertown, Winfield, Five Points, and Columbia County, FL—to ensure veterans are laid to rest with full honors. We have experience working with military families and can answer your questions and take care of the complete burial paperwork.
Who is Eligible?
Former, honorably discharged service members who have served their requisite enlistment period are eligible for burial in a veterans cemetery. Spouses and dependent children of living and deceased veterans and current service members are also eligible. A U.S. citizen who served in the armed forces of a government allied with the United States in a war also may be eligible.
Our knowledgeable staff is happy to clear up any confusion or answer any questions about eligibility, or refer you to the Department of Veterans Affairs for additional information.

Standard inscriptions include the name of the deceased, birth and death years, and branch of service. Optional inscriptions include:
- (VA expense) Military grade, rank, war service, emblem, valor awards.
- (Private expense) Quotes, symbols, images.
We are able to assist you in choosing the grave marker that’s right for your loved one, as well as handling the inscription to stay compliant with veterans cemetery standards.
