Virginia “Hope” (Thomas) Keck passed away in hospice care on February 14, 2023, in Tallahassee, Florida. She was 97 years old. Born in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania on April 28, 1925, to George Bryan Thomas and Cora Ethel Bennington Thomas. She was the oldest of her siblings - Kenneth Thomas, Jeanne Riley and Donald Thomas who all predeceased her. Hope spent her youth living on a farm and at age 20 married James Robert Keck. They were married for 55 loving years until Bob’s passing in 2001. Bob and Hope moved to Florida in 1960 and lived in Orlando, Tallahassee and Palm Bay. She is survived by her 3 children: Connie Rich (Johnny), Candy Planck (Danny) and David Keck (Nancy) and 5 grandchildren: Joshua Planck (Julie), Jason Planck (Miriam), Kimberly Rich Atkinson (William), Andrew Keck and Nancy Keck Hobbs (Steven) and 4 great-grandchildren: Calib Planck, Siera Planck, Ariel Planck and Andin Atkinson. Hope had a quiet nature but loved the fun times at family get-togethers. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, playing cards, country music and spending time with the grandkids.
