“Stomper” “Thumper” “Two Guns”

Florida mourns the loss of Todd Caplinger, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle and
member of the Dixie Sons Brotherhood. Born in Akron, Ohio, Todd lived many years in Fort Pierce,
Florida. He passed away on November 13, 2024 at the age of 61 at his home in Tallahassee, Florida.

Todd was a kind-hearted soul with a rough exterior who touched the lives of all who knew him. He
was known for his loyalty, always there for those he loved whether it was a listening ear, helping hand
or blunt advice. Inspiring those around him, Todd always pushed the people he loved to do and be
better. Todd was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for shark tooth hunting, fossil and artifact
hunting, crabbing and fishing, even if it meant hopping fences. He lived his life wide open, always on
the lookout for the next big adventure. With his immense thirst for knowledge and vast imagination
Todd could turn even the mundane into an adventure. If you did not leave his side having created your
own adventure tale, you were sure to be enthralled by one of his. Todd was known for bringing home
strays and wild animals of all kinds, including people. His devotion to all things misunderstood led
him to form the Dixie Sons Brotherhood, a group of strays, some might say, that are now called family.
His passion lit a fire in him that has been a beacon to many and it will continue to light up the lives of
all who have come to know him. Give ‘em hell, Todd. You will be deeply missed. GBNF.

Todd was preceded in death by his parents Charlece and Charles Caplinger. His brothers Darin and
Troy Caplinger. As well as by his first wife Tina (Phillips) Caplinger.

Todd leaves behind his wife Virgina Reid. His daughter Ashley Caplinger and son-in-law Robert
Fitzgerald with his granddaughters Aubrey Guite, Payton Richardson and Gracie Richardson. His
daughter Katie Caplinger and grandsons Reilly Burchfield and Aiden Burchfield. His son Levi Caplinger
and daughter-in-law Jazmin Caplinger and granddaughter Aurora Caplinger. His son Colby Caplinger.
And nephew Austin Caplinger. As well as all his family he came to know through the brotherhood.
