Shirley Frances (Neel) Hadden

Shirley Hadden,79, of Marianna passed away peacefully on Monday, February 16, 2026, at Blountstown Health and Rehab where she had been for a brief period.

Shirley was born February 5, 1947 in Marianna, FL to Daniel Wilson and Ruth Mae Neel. She went on to graduate from Marianna High School. She spent most of her life as a homemaker. But, she was proud to say she was a pilot and served honorably in the Naval Reserve at the Pentagon and in London, England.

In her spare time, she loved spending time with family and friends. Especially the times spent beside her grandmother Hansford at a favorite fishing hole.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Hadden, her parents, Daniel Wilson and Ruth Mae Neel, her grandparents William Meggs and Nancy Lillian Hansford all from the Alliance community.

Shirley is survived by her daughter Nancy Bracewell (Richard) or Sneads, Shannon Murphy of Albany, GA, Sister, Peggy Strickland of Sneads, and Brother, William (Bill) Neel of Marianna. Plus 5 grandchildren, 7 Great grandchildren, and 2 Great Great grandchildren.

She will be missed by her family and friends. She lived a full life, on her terms.

The family would like to give many thanks to Blountstown Health and Rehab for taking such great care of her during her stay.

And a special thanks to Vitas Hospice and Nurse Emily for making her final days comfortable and bearable for Shirley and

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
