Sandra (Sandy) Kay Petry, 77, of Fort White, Florida, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2026. Born on December 11, 1948, in Canton, Ohio, Sandra lived a full and meaningful life centered around family, faith, and kindness.

Sandra was the beloved daughter of the late Benjamin and Edith Parrish. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Linn Petry, with whom she shared 49 cherished years, as well as her siblings Rollin Parrish, Benjamin Parrish, Roberta Wartluft, and Katherine Slagle. She is survived by her loving children: Sharon Huffman (Richard) and John Petry (Alicia); grandchildren, Samantha Gray (Scott), Sara Peck, Benjamin Huffman, and Addison Petry; and great-grandchild, Sawyer Gray who will carry forward the warmth, humor, and compassion that were the hallmarks of her character.

Throughout her life, Sandra held family at the heart of everything she did. She found joy and purpose in caring for those in need—whether family members, friends, or beloved pets. Her deep affection for animals reflected her kind spirit and gentle nature. Sandra’s greatest treasures were her milestones that revolved around love: her marriage, the raising of her children, and the time she spent with family and friends.

Those who knew her will remember her quick wit and delightful sense of humor, a comforting presence that could bring light into any situation. Sandra’s compassion knew no bounds, as she always offered a helping hand or a listening ear to anyone facing hardship.

Though she will be deeply missed, Sandra leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and strength that will continue to inspire those who loved her.
