Rose Marie Smith, lovingly known as “Rosie,” passed away peacefully on June 6, 2025, at the age of 72, at Haven Hospice in Lake City, Florida. She was born on October 1, 1952, in Alachua, Florida.

Rosie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She shared 23 wonderful years with her beloved husband, Henry “Allen” Smith. Rosie found her greatest joy in spending time with her husband and family, cherishing every moment together.

She is survived by her children: Wayne (Terri) Rice, Angela (Chris) Rice, Kelli (Enondrus) Phillips, and Ashley Smith. She also leaves behind her brother Johnny (Frankie) Maulden, many grandchildren who brought light to her life, and a large circle of extended family and lifelong friends whose lives she touched with kindness and warmth.

Rosie was preceded in death by her parents, James and Josephine Guthrie Maulden; her brothers, Bobby Maulden, Jimmy Maulden, Don Maulden; and her sister, Sarah Tillman.

She was dearly loved and is deeply missed by her husband, family, and friends.

A celebration of Rosie’s life will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at Majestic Oaks Ranch, 118 NW Langford Ct., Lake City, FL 32055. Friends and family are invited to come together to honor her memory and the love she shared with so many.
