Robert (Bobby) Niel Brownell age 60, passed away peacefully on September 16th, 2026 at the Haven Hospice Care Center in Lake City ,Fl. He was surrounded by family and loved ones.

Bobby was born July 15,1966 in Pahokee , Fl, but lived most of his life Lake City.

Bobby was employed at Homes of Merit, now Champion Homes. He began his career there in 1986 and was a faithful employee, doing different jobs through the years , finally spending his last several years working in drafting. Bobby loved his work and enjoyed time with his coworkers discussing football, specifically the Florida State Seminoles, and talking about cooking and grilling, both of which he excelled at .

Bobby enjoyed many different types of music and played guitar in bands around the area with his friends . His band Typhus brought him great joy and he loved all aspects of playing live shows . Bobby was an avid poker player and went to games multiple times a week for many years and hosted many poker nights at his home .

Bobby also shared 16 years with his two beloved dogs , Fiver and Larry and they brought him much happiness and joy.

Bobby is survived by three sisters, Melanie Morris of Commerce , Ga, Jennifer Ayers of Demorest ,Ga , and Gina Stuart of Hull, Ga, one brother , Noah Brownell of Lakeland,Fl. Five nephews and one niece also survive. He is also survived by his former partner and lifelong companion of 28 years, Jennifer Stancil, whom he remained close to until his death. He was Proceeded in death by his father , Napoleon Brownell and his mother Edna Allen. No formal service is planned at this time but an informal ceremony will be held at a later date and family and friends will be welcome to attend.
