Robert (Bob) Newton Beckman, 69, passed away at home surrounded by his family, after a valiant battle with cancer on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 in Live Oak, Florida.

Robert was born March 26, 1956 in Oakland, Maryland. He lived in Morgantown, West Virginia area for many years and later in Pinellas County, Florida. After retiring as an HVAC Technician he moved to Live Oak, Florida.

Robert is survived by his wife of 51 years, Lois Cooley Beckman. Daughter’s: Christine Beckman DeMato (Chris DeMato) and Roberta Beckman. Grandchildren: David Dufoe and Courtney DeMato. Siblings: Harry Beckman (Pam), Paul Beckman (Cathy), Dennis Beckman (Charlotte), Emma Knotts (survived by David), Patricia Ohler (Jerry Swearengen) and Steve Beckman. Several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. An aunt and a host of cousins.

Robert was preceded in death by his father, Isaac N. Beckman and his mother, Emma J. Beckman.

The family would like to thank Community Hospice & Palliative Care for their amazing support throughout this difficult time.

Robert’s ashes will be buried at the Beckman Cemetery in Oakland, Maryland at a later date.
