Obituary For Patricia G. Carver

Patricia G. Carver, 82, of Hawthorne, Florida, joined her beloved husband, Johnny Carver, and our Lord on January 14, 2026. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She will be forever in our hearts.

Patricia, was born on September 10, 1943 in New York, New York, to Angelo & Gloria Giuffrida. She had many occupations throughout her life including working as a lunch lady for St.Patrick’s Catholic School in Gainesville, Florida, and working as an office manager at Gainesville’s Community Ministries in Gainesville, Florida. Patricia married her husband on May 15, 1977 In Jacksonville, Florida. She was a devoted Catholic whom loved traveling & cooking for people. She loved spending time with family especially the great-grandchildren. Patricia enjoyed cross-stitching, knitting, and crocheting in her free time. Her infectious smile and loving spirit brightened the lives of all who knew her.

Patricia is survived by her son, Shawn Carver of Hawthorne, Florida; Her step-daughter, Holly Henderson of Fernandina Beach, Florida; her brother, Thomas Giuffrida of St. Petersburg, Florida; her grandchildren Kaitlyn Carver of Belleview, Florida, Kalee Hoff of Reddick, Florida, and Garrett Henderson of Ferdandina Beach, Florida; her great-grandchildren Brantley Bangart of Belleview, Florida, Damian Martinez of Belleview, Florida, Linda Martinez of Belleview, Florida, And Oscar Martinez of Belleview, Florida. She was preceded in death by her devoted Husband of 27 years, Johnny Carver, Mother and Father, Angelo and Gloria Giuffrida, and sister, Donna Carter.

A celebration of Patricia’s life will be held at her family home on January 31st, 2026, at 1 p.m. The family invited all who knew her to attend and share their favorite memories in colorful attire. She has asked to not mourn her but in turn celebrate her life.

Patricia donated many charities including the Shrines Hospital, Breast Cancer Society, American Heart Association and St. Jude Children's Hospital. In lieu of flowers and in memory of her, she requested to please consider a donation to one of the above charities that Patricia valued.
