Michael P. DeStefanis was born on July 10th, 1950, in Columbus, Ohio. He passed away peacefully on September 3rd, 2024, in Lake City, Florida. Michael was a faithful servant and always took the time to enrich his relationship with God. He was a devout Christian man and put his faith first. He is now in the righteous presence of his maker.

During the 74 wonderful years of Michael’s life, he devoted his time and energy to making memories, serving the Lord, caring for his wife and growing his family-owned business. There was never a moment he missed to be surrounded by family. Even his work life involved his kin. For 30 years he invested most of his working life as a painter and business owner alongside his father and brother. Aside from working he enjoyed spending time at the races enjoying guy time with his brother, uncle and cousins. He also loved being a grand parent and when he was graced by their presence, he never failed to create memories.

Michael is proceeded death by his loving wife of 36 cherished years Gloria Jean (DePinto) DeStefanis. Also, his parents Pasquale and Sybil (Stover) DeStefanis.

He is survived by his two children, Vicki Oden (Charles) of Lake City FL and Michael O’Connell (Jennifer) of North Port FL, Brother Vaughn DeStefanis of Port Charlotte FL, Sister Cathie Culp (Harry) of Longmont, CO and his three Granddaughters, Stefanie Craig (Ken) of Colorado Springs, CO, Kerrie Deloach (Ricky) of Lake City, FL, Heather O’Connell (Jesse Ruiz) of Elkhart, Indiana. Lastly, his three Great-grandchildren, Sydney Craig, KJ Craig, and JJ Ruiz.

A Celebration of his Life will be held At Church on the Way on October 15th, 2024, at 4:00pm. Michael P. DeStefanis, although gone physically from this life, will always and forever live on through the memories he shared and the hearts of all who knew him.
