Obituary For Mary (Ree) Elizabeth Murphy

Mary (Ree) may have been born and died in the South but she was a Bostonian in her heart. Mary had three younger brothers, all deceased before her; Richard (Jerry) Murphy, Stephen (Steve) Murphy and Dennis (Obragaio) Murphy. She didn't follow the beaten path and was never officially married to her life partner, Dennis (Zoli) Manzoli, who is also deceased. She has several surviving nieces and a nephew; Anne Marie Murphy, Stephanie Paone, Richard (Rich) Murphy, Shawn Murphy and Kerry Murphy.

Mary's cremains will be interred at the Prairie Creek Conservation Cemetery in Micanopy, FL on Monday, August 25th at 10am. We will have a graveside service for the many who love(d) her to say their goodbyes. Please feel free to bring cut flowers, as she loved flowers, paper sculptures, biodegradable wreaths, unfinished wood pieces/sculptures or a special local, unpainted stone to leave at her graveside.

I know that I speak for all the Encore Dancers in saying how much we will miss Mary's spirited and artful presence. May she continue to dance in the hereafter with her signature grace and creativity.

Ohhhh my beautiful Mary, how I will miss you and never forget you. You stood by my side during my cancer and Im greatful to have had you in my life. All the memories with you and Barbara playing Cards, every lunch and Dinner at the table, the stories and most of all the love shared. Until we meet again my beautiful I love you.

We remember your presence at every family gathering, and your joyous laughter. We remember your independence and a sense of adventure that led to stories of world travels, dance, and love. We remember your enthusiasm for being "Auntie", from playground visits, sleepovers, recitals and handmade dollhouse furniture. And all the Birthday and Holiday cards. And all the fuscia lipstick kisses! We remember you being so proud of us, and of our children. We remember your lasting friendship with our Mom, and with other elegant people we were fascinated to meet or know about. We remember how much love you showed through caring for others. We remember, Auntie and we are so grateful.
