Mary Elizabeth Anderson Wood, age 66, of Lake City, FL, sadly passed away on July 30, 2024. She was born in Hamilton, GA on August 26, 1957, to Carl Thomas Anderson and Ruby Etta Tedder. She was the youngest of 10 children. Mary married Newton Guy Wood Jr. on August 26, 1974. He passed away in 2018. Mary is survived by her children Newton Guy Wood III, Rachel Crawford, and Holly Shryock, and by her sister Charlotte Strohm, her brother C. Pat Anderson, her 8 grandchildren, her 4 great-grandchildren, and her beloved dog Biscuit.

Mary loved nature and taking pictures and videos of the outdoors. She spent hours with her dog Biscuit enjoying being outside at her Florida home. Mary loved making memories with her children and grandchildren and would spend as much time with them as possible. She had a close-knit circle of friends and family that she loved deeply.

Mary grew up in the Baptist church and maintained her strong beliefs throughout her life. She will be laid to rest with her husband in the State Veterans Cemetery at Birdeye, AR
