Obituary For Lori Ann Kidder

Lori Ann Kidder, 60, of Live Oak, Florida, passed away peacefully after a short battle with an aggressive form of cancer in the early morning of July 10 at Haven Hospice. In the days leading to her passing, she was consistently surrounded by her loving husband and children.

Lori was born Lori Ann Singley on August 28, 1963 to David and Nancy Singley and was raised with her siblings Jon Singley, Kathi Calogero and Trudy Rice.

Her truest joy in life was being a mother and grandmother and, as a result, she influenced the lives of many through her tenderness and warmth. One would not need to look far in the Sunapee area of New Hampshire to find someone she left her mark on; her presence was infectious and warm, and she had the uncanny ability to make everyone around her feel like the most important person in the room. The difference she has made in countless lives cannot be understated.

As a teen, she had a rebellious streak, which strongly influenced her famous sense of humor and gave her many stories to share with family and friends. She never tired of boasting about those important to her, either, and her pride in her family was evident to anyone who spent more than a moment in her presence.

Lori had many hobbies including travel, gardening, puzzles, reading, shopping, quality time with loved ones, and enjoying life for all it had to offer. She and her husband Tony planned and took many trips, often taking the opportunity to turn a work trip into a vacation, always seeking and finding excitement in the every day. When her children were young, she brought them on many adventures across New England, from skiing trips to camping, never turning down an opportunity to make them smile or support their passions. Her primary goal and passion in life was being a mother and grandmother, and the happiness of those she loved was always her first priority.

In her midlife, she found profound joy and meaning in loving Tony and being loved by him. Their marriage set the example for all of their children’s relationships, and their love will continue to forever inspire those who were fortunate enough to witness it. She and Tony never tired of one another’s company and spent many hours in both Sunapee, NH and Live Oak, FL sitting together in both conversation and silence; there was nothing that they did together that did not bring them joy simply by experiencing it with one another. In her most recent years, much of their time was spent admiring their garden, watching the birds and animals, and traveling. Visiting her children and grandchildren was something she always looked forward to and reveled in each and every time.

Much of her adult life was lived in Sunapee, NH with her husband Tony, who she married on January 4, 2004. Together they shared four children, all of whom Lori considered her own. She is survived by her husband, Tony Kidder, her children Kristen Obreza and her husband Josh, Jesse Kidder and his wife April (their children Charles and James), and Jenn Whitcomb and her husband Corey (their children Madison and Amelia). She is predeceased by her son, Jason Lussier, and her father, David Singley.

Lori had a life truly lived, where she enjoyed its small miracles such as birds and flowers, as well as its luxuries of shopping, traveling, cruising, and dining. She lived her life to the fullest, rarely denying herself or her loved ones an experience or opportunity. She had the ability to find humor in all situations and spread her love, warmth, and positivity wherever she went. Her laughter and many catch phrases will forever echo in the minds of those who love her.

Her family finds comfort knowing she is with her beloved son and father, which was a wish she expressed many times in her life after their losses.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Haven Hospice in Lake City Florida, who showed her the utmost tenderness and care in the last days of her life.
