Lake City, Florida, our beloved Juan Rivera Sr., a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and pillar of his family, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness and many cherished memories. He dedicated his life to his family, always putting their needs before his own. His unwavering support and encouragement were constants in the lives of his children and grandchildren.

Born on August 29, 1933, in the beautiful island of Puerto Rico, to Carmelo Rivera and Guillermina Nieves. He is survived by his wife Aida Rivera, daughters Brizaida Montanez, Maria Collins, and Yolanda Nogueras; sons Juan Rivera Jr. and Jose Rivera; grandchildren, Luis Rivera, Christopher Rivera, Justin Rivera, Brittany Rivera, Lyzeveli Ortiz, Myraiza Lopez, Allyssia Rivera, Julian Rivera, Alexandria Rivera, Marquis Collins, Tyree Collins, Eric Collins, Michael Torres, Elizabeth Nogueras, Sebastian Nogueras, Gabriela Nogueras, Victoria Nogueras and Tiffany Nogueras; his beloved great grandchildren, and his brother Benjamin Rivera and sister Isabel Rivera.

He will be greatly missed by those who cherished him and lovingly knew him as “Grandpa” whose zest and humor for life was incredible! His legacy of love, and kindness will continue to inspire and uplift those whose lives he touched.

His love for the sport of baseball was evident. He was a devoted New York Yankees fan and seized every opportunity to see his favorite team play.

You will always be missed and loved Daddy until we see you again.
