Obituary List

Joyce Osborne was born in Carrollton, Georgia on September 22, 1946. She retired from Citizens State Bank in Perry, Florida, as Administrative Assistant and Receptionist after 13 years; was previously a Police Officer in LaGrange, Georgia, and was co-owner of Osborne Debt Collections, along with her husband, Donny, in Greenville, Georgia before their move to Mayo in 1995. Joyce was of the Christian faith, baptized at age 11, and has attended Hatchbend Apostolic Church in Branford, Florida since 2001, beside her husband.

Joyce felt that God directed her path to be a loving, happy, strong, supportive and caring person. She tried to live this through her card ministry to so many people she loved and cared about. She leaves behind hopes and dreams and many undone infinite possibilities.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished by her loving and devoted husband, Donny; her most precious son, Chad Wheelus (Tondra and Ericah) of Franklin, TN; precious grandson, Brandon Wheelus of Hogansville, GA; the most loving and devoted daughter she claimed as her own, Robyn Dorriety of Alexander City, AL; her precious granddaughter, Cailin Osborne of O'Brien, FL; her step-son, Christopher Osborne (Amy) of O'Brien, FL; her sister, Janice Hughes (Louis), of Smarr, GA; nieces, nephews and 3 great nephews; many cousins and their families, and all the many church members and friends everywhere that she knew and loved.

Joyce was preceded in death by sons Tim Wheelus and Steve Wheelus; her parents Ezra and Odella Whitmore; sister Pat Miles; sister Ellen Strickland (J.E.), and nephew Phillip Dodson.

A memorial service will be held at Hatchbend Apostolic Church, 503 SE Cephas Liston Road Branford, FL 32008, on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 11:00AM, Pastor Steve A. Boyd officiating.

Family will begin receiving friends at 10:00AM.
