John Daniel Piffer, III, 50 of Lake City passed away on April 6, 2023. He is predeceased by his parents, Paula (Morris) and John D. Piffer, Jr. He is also predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Rudolph Morris; and many friends he considered family. He is survived by his loving children John Piffer, IV (Cheyenne) and Christopher Piffer (Lexi) and his four beautiful grandchildren which he adored: Ivelisse, Alanna, Carter, and Bexley all from Ocala. He is also survived by his fiancée, Debra Simpson of Lake City. John left a lot of friends that he thought the world of, and they thought the world of him. John worked in construction with his dad for many years. But his love was the 10 years he spent climbing, wiring, and maintaining cell phone towers. The past two years he was making custom counter tops with Champion Homes. He was the life of the party, always laughing, smiling, and singing. He loved fishing, boating, grilling, and sitting on the porch while spending time with his family. He also loved dancing and cooking with his fiancée. He will be missed greatly by everyone who knew him. A Celebration of Life will be held on September 2, 2023, 4 PM, at his home in Lake City.
