John Louis Minatree Sr. born January 20th, 1955 in Miami, Fl. to Paul Minatree and Frances Virginia Hovis Minatree. John passed away peacefully on December 3rd, 2025 after a long illness in Lake City, Fl.

He lived in Live Oak, Fl. for over 30 years. He was a loving son, brother and father. John was quick witted and could make everyone laugh. John was a truck driver most of his life from wreckers to big rigs. John was an owner operator and drove long distances before he retired. After John retired the road still called his name. He enjoyed taking long drives and enjoyed fishing and the peace it gave him.

He was preceded in death by his Father and Mother, grandparents and numerous aunts and uncles. He was survived by his siblings Roger Minatree, Paul Minatree, Belinda Minatree, and Virginia Caple. His children Robert Minatree, Kevin Minatree, Lisa Cash, John Minatree Jr., his ex-wife, and grandchildren and great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
