John Harold Williams –

John Harold Williams, 92, a devoted husband, father, and friend went to be with the Lord on July 21, 2025. Born to the late Sidney Samuel Williams and Eva Sauls Williams on Jan. 29, 1933, in Columbia County, Fl. He resided in St. Augustine, Fl. the last two and a half years of his life under the care of his loving daughter, Ruth Marie Hathcock until the time of his passing. During his early years, he joined the Navy as a Radio Operator and was stationed in California. Later, he was employed by Florida Power and Light until his retirement. After a brief time, he became a Missionary Pastor for the Southern Baptist Church starting new Mission churches until retiring for the second time in order to care for his loving wife, Virginia Mae Williams. Survivors include his four children, Connie Summers (Jay Summers), Kathy Heinrich, Kenan Williams (Pauletta Williams), and Ruth Hathcock (Buster Hathcock), 20 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. He leaves behind one brother Sidney Samuel Williams. He is preceded in death by his parents Sidney and Eva Williams, his loving wife Virginia Mae Williams, a son Mark Williams, his siblings Lois Feagle, Marie Smith, Edna Snelgrove, Edith Wilcox, Harley Williams, Doris Stormant, Horace Williams, Bill Williams, Elisabeth Stormant, Brian Williams, two brothers and one sister who passed when they were small. A Memorial service for John Harold Williams will be held at 1:30 pm on Aug. 16, 2025 at the Cornerstone Baptist Church located at 22296 S.W. State Rd. 47, Fort White, Fl. 32308. Officiating is the Rev. Danny Rogers.
