JEANNIE STIGGINS HOSLEY

Jeannie Stiggins Hosley, 79, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, in Lake City, FL, after an extended illness. She was born in Orlando, FL on May 15, 1946.

Jeannie grew up in Melbourne, FL After graduation from Melbourne High School in1964, she moved to Lake City and loved the area. She was the past owner and manager of the Watering Hole on Baya Dr. She also worked in real estate and many of her clients became good friends. She retired from First Federal Bank and enjoyed working in her yard. She liked to say something was always blooming in her yard and once was on the Lake City Garden Club tour.

Jeannie was a kind and thoughtful woman, an old soul who will be missed by our family and all who knew her. Our family and our world are smaller and not just in number. We love you Jeannie, rest in peace.

She is survived by her brother Jesse Stiggins; sister Ann Neelon (Jack); and many nieces and nephews. She had no children but was the family’s favorite aunt and almost everyone knew her as aunt Jeannie.

Jeannie was preceded in death by her first husband, Arthur Hosley, her childhood sweetheart, and the love of her life; her second husband, Murray Williams; her parents, Ruth and Charles Clapper of Melbourne, FL.; brothers Samual Stiggins and Charles Clapper Jr; and sister Merrie Kathryn Clapper.
