Obituary For JD DRIGGERS

John “J.D.” Driggers, 77 of Perry, Florida passed away after an extended illness on February 24, 2023, surrounded by family. He was born to the late Green and June (Sharp) Driggers on March 15, 1945, in Old Town, Florida. J.D. is survived by his loving and devoted wife Sharon (Sadler) Driggers of 30 years, Sisters, Trish Gilliand, and Mary Lord: Daughter, Angela Hornsby (Brian), Son, John Driggers, Jr. (Valena), and Daughter, Kristina Jones (Marcus), Grandchildren; Kristin Walker, Whitney Clark, Brittian Hornsby, Kohatha Vaughn (Sara), Steve Berryhill (Morgan), C.J. Sturvindant (Kristian), Trey Driggers (Stephanie), Trevor Driggers, Travis Driggers, Alexis Leeds, and Addy Jones, along with (9) nine Great Grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews as well as numerous lifelong friends. J.D. was a great father, better grandfather, and best great grandfather. J.D. left school at an early age to begin working he instilled his hard work ethic along with fun times as values to everyone in the family. As the patriarch of the family, J.D worked in the aluminum manufacturing sector for many years but always found time to fish, grow a garden, and spend time with family. Once he retired, he became a full-time fisherman teaching the younger ones how to fall in love with the great outdoors. He will be remembered for his straightforward advice, jokester comments and love for his family and friends. If J.D liked you, you knew it, if he didn’t like you, you knew that too. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 1:00 pm at the Steinhatchee Community Center, 1013 Riverside Drive, Steinhatchee, Florida 32359.
