Elizabeth Spears Thrift, Jean was a devoted wife, loving mother, compassionate sister and supportive friend. She was an intelligent/beautiful person. She left this world peacefully at age 70 on December 13, 2024 in Lake City, Florida.

Born to Hamp and Roma Spears on July 10, 1954 Jean graduated from Columbia High School in Lake City, Florida in 1972. Where she married her high school sweetheart the late Terry Lewis Thrift. She also earned an associate’s degree at Lake City Community College. She worked in and played a vital role in the success of the family-owned business.

She took great joy in the simple pleasures. Jean lived life to the fullest and especially loved spending time with family and friends. Her passion for fishing and the delight in her voice as she recited those fishing stories with absolute excitement. She spent a lot of time close to the water at Suwannee Town. Oh, what an avid college football fan she was. Her colors were orange and blue. Go gators! Leaving behind a legacy of kindness and grace; she will be remembered for her amazing sense of humor and infectious laughing.

Jean is survived by her son Timothy Lewis Thrift, her daughter Roma Jean Thrift and granddaughters Sarah Thrift and Erin Thrift.

A celebration of life will be determined at a later date. You may be gone, but you are not forgotten...
