Obituary For Edith Marie Hatch

Edith Marie Hatch, a woman whose faith, kindness, and loving spirit touched the lives of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Edith loved God first and foremost. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and she found great joy in attending church, growing in her relationship with Christ, and learning more about His teachings. Her love for the Lord was reflected in the way she lived her life and treated those around her.

Edith had a heart full of love, not only for her family and friends, but for everyone she met. She was the kind of person who would do anything for anyone, always willing to lend a helping hand or offer kindness without expecting anything in return. She had a special love for animals and enjoyed collecting elephant knickknacks, a little piece of her personality that those who loved her will always remember fondly.

Edith leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her memory, including her sisters, Sarah Hatch and Fatima Smith; her aunt and uncle, Seretha Ray and Billy Ray; her nieces, Avery Horan, Taya Smith, and Rayden Horan; and her nephews, Daylin Horan, Kenley Smith, and Bentley Horan. She also leaves behind many beloved cousins, extended family members, and friends whose lives were made brighter simply by knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Raenell Hatch and Gregory Hatch.

Although Edith’s presence here on earth will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in the faith she held so dearly and the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ. Her love, generosity, and unwavering faith will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

A celebration of Edith’s life will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Live Oak, Florida. All are welcome to attend as family and friends gather to honor her memory, celebrate her life, and share in the love she so freely gave.

“Well done, thou good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:21 (KJV)
