Obituary For Donald Brush, Jr.
In Loving Memory of Donald Brush Jr.
September 10, 1955 – October 10, 2026
Donald Brush Jr., 71, born in Cornwall, New York, and raised in Central Valley, New York, passed away late in the evening of October 10, 2026, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by loved ones.
Donald was a devoted father, grandfather, and friend whose heart always had room for one more. Known for his generosity, easygoing nature, and welcoming spirit, he had a gift for making everyone feel like family. His home and heart were always open, and many of his children’s friends came to know him as a father of their own. To Donald, family was never defined by blood, but by the love and loyalty shared along the way.
Full of laughter and famously terrible jokes, Donald loved being part of whatever was happening around him. A lifelong car enthusiast and lover of music, he enjoyed the many experiences life had to offer. He also served in the United States Army, and fittingly, one of his favorite pastimes was watching M*A*S*H with his family.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret Brush; his parents, Donald Brush Sr. and Anne Brush; his mother-in-law, Margaret Babinec; and his granddaughter, Katlynne Hayes.
He is survived by his sisters, Ruth Singh, Sharron Rosas (Jeff), Carol Muise, and his beloved baby sister, Anne Miragh (Dean); his children, Donald Brush III (Jenn), Michael Brush, Alicia Nicol, Nichole Hayes (Chris), Charles Brush (April), James Fox (Amber), and Victoria Minatree (John); his grandchildren, Joseph, Matthew, Paige, Rachel, Amber, Christopher, Elijah, Nevaeh B., Allie, Charles, Ava, Nevaeh T., Olivia, and Elizabeth; and his great-grandchildren, Scotland, Delilah, Addie, and soon-to-arrive Rainer.
He also leaves behind many beloved in-laws, nieces, nephews, and countless others who were fortunate enough to be welcomed into his extended family.
Donald leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love, laughter, and kindness. Those who knew him will remember not only the man he was, but the way he made them feel: welcomed, valued, and loved.
A celebration of life will be on October 23, 2026 at 7pm at Wellborn Baptist Church.
