In Loving Memory of Dawn Marie Hathaway

Dawn Marie Hathaway, of Lake City, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2026, surrounded by the people she loved most.

Dawn was a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and loving friend. Her family was one of the greatest joys of her life, and the love she gave to them will continue to live on through each of them. She had a way of making the people around her feel loved, cared for, and at home.

Dawn’s greatest legacy is the love she leaves behind. Though her family’s hearts are broken by her passing, they find comfort in knowing that the memories they shared with her will never be taken away. Her laughter, her love, her stories, and all of the little moments that made her who she was will forever remain in their hearts.

Dawn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Mark Hathaway Sr.; her father, Robert “Bud” Cobourn; and her mother, Doris Cobourn.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her step mother Jill Cobourn, her children, Samantha Griffin (Scott), Christine Zallie, Robert Hathaway (Brandy), and Michael Simmons; her beloved grandchildren, Jayden, Haley, and Mykhia Simmons, Lanie Griffin, Levi Hathaway, and Hunter Hathaway; and her siblings, Laura Lowe, Craig Cobourn, Doris Lutz, Helen Cobourn, and Buddy Cobourn.

Her family will carry her love with them in everything they do. Although Dawn may no longer be here to hold their hands, her love will continue to guide them, and her memory will live on through the generations she leaves behind.

She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
