Obituary For DAVID S PETERS

David Samuel Peters, 80, slipped the bonds of Earth on Monday, February 6, 2023, to arrive on the shores of Heaven after suffering from a short-term illness. He was surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor his legacy by living their life to the fullest. He was born May 28, 1942, to the Late Samuel Peters and Nellie Scoggins-Peters in Chattanooga TN. David was a proud American and served in the U.S. Air Force for twenty-eight years, achieving the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. CMSGT (RET.) David S. Peters was a highly decorated member of the United States Air Force. Some achievements include a Meritorious Service Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters and many other commendations and citations awarded during his decades of selfless service to his country. David took great pride in his military career and his influence encouraged generations after him to serve proudly in all branches of the United States Military. David was a successful small business owner with his loving wife and partner Judy. Their company was called “Judy and Dave’s Everything and More”, which was exactly that. He had a passion for RVing. Which allowed him to wander off the beaten path in complete comfort. Do I need to mention his love for Casinos? I can just about hear him say, please place my casino cards in my pocket in case they have slot machines in heaven. Cha-ching! Even more loved than his RV’s and Casinos was being with his family and friends. He knew how to make you feel comfortable, special and worthy. He never met a stranger and once you knew him YOU were family. David is preceded in passing and being welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven by his parents Samuel and Nellie Peters and his First Born Son David Lee Peters. David’s legacy is honored by his loving, devoted Wife Judith of 58 amazing years; Brothers Dennis F. Peters (Mary), Randall Peters; Children, Dennis Edward Peters (Diane), Deborah Nicole Mier (Shannon), Angie Peters, and Bonus Daughter Victoria Boston; Grandchildren, David Anthony Peters, Michael Peters, Alexandria Willis, Daniel Peters, Nicholas Mier, Mathew Peters, Joshua Peters, Samantha Peters, Corey Martin, Meagan Konrad, Chloe Jacobson; 13 Great Grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cherished friends; and his fur baby Carrie Ann.
