Obituary For Dale Richard Burd

Dale Richard Burd 64, of Lake City passed away on July 27, 2023, with his loving and devoted wife by his side. Dale and Patricia (Wilders) Burd have been together for over 20 years. He was born to the late Clarice (McElrath) and Joseph Burd of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida on December 28, 1958. Dale proudly served in the United States Air Force and retired with over 20 years of service for his country as a Senior Master Sergeant. Once he retired from the Military Service he became a small business owner of Dale Burd, LLC of Lake City, Florida. Dale enjoyed the great outdoors. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and boating. He was an avid golfer and loved making memories with family and friends. Dale is survived by his children; Anthony Burd, David Cook and Rebecca Cook (Gary Laun) and Andrew Pellicer (Rebecca). Siblings; Paul Burd (Bernadette), Debra Burd and Terri Griffith (John), niece Jessica Graziano and nephew Travis Horton; grandchildren; Logan and Robin and best friend Jeff Lakso (Kathie). Dale is preceded in death by his brother Joseph Burd, Jr. Dale will be remembered for his love of people. He had a kind and generous spirit that was only matched by his hugs.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, August 4, 2023, at 6:00 pm at the Quail Heights Country Club located at 161 SW Quail Heights Terrace, Lake City, Florida 32025.     Dale will be greatly missed by all. He has such a good soul and heart and touched so many. Dale was a great friend. We will cherish our fun times and memories of boating, scalloping, golfing, and just having a good time. Love him and you dearly. Kathy and Dan Stark

    Dale was my trapping buddy while station in South Dakota. Loved playing golf with Dale. Loved doing anything with Dale, he made everything fun! Dale and Patti came for a visit to bow hunt in 2010. What a joy to have Dale and get to know Patti! My heart felt condolences go out to Patti, Dales entire family and Dale's dear friend Jeff Lakso. Gone way too soon, but what an impact he had on me. Truly one of my favorite people. I will miss him! Mike Saad

    Dale was an awesome man and friend. He was always friendly and had a smile on his face. I loved to hear him sing, he had a beautiful voice. Dale had a great personality and friendly to everyone. Dale will be greatly missed. Brenda Wagenman
