Brenda Davis, 59 of Lake City entered Heaven unexpectedly on November 12, 2022. Brenda was also known as Bren was born to Zerelda Gayla and Julius Larry Register on March 27,1963 in the Big Town of Orlando. She grew up in God's country of Okeechobee Florida for the younger years of her life. Later moving to the Lake City area where she made a wonderful life for herself. Brenda was a strong and brave woman who fought lung cancer and went into remission by the grace of God. She was a member of the Voice of Deliverance Outreach Church. When Brenda moved to Lake City, she found her soulmate and was married to James Davis for 30 years. They created a family of his, hers and their children. Her pride and joy were her children and grandbabies. She enjoyed spending time with her kids and their friends. Brenda adopted and loved them as her own. Brenda was a homemaker and she loved to cook and do things for her family. She was also a notary where she was known for many years. Brenda had many accomplishments, but she was really proud of herself when she stopped smoking. She was a woman that loved her pets and would spoil them like children. Brenda loved going to church drinking coffee and Coke with friends, hanging out with others on the computer. On a good rainy night, she enjoyed listening to music and watching Hallmark and LMN movies. Brenda was preceded in death by her sister Teresa Swaggerty, her husband of 30 years James Davis, a son Herbie Davis, mom, both of her dads and a loving grandmother. Brenda was survived by six children. Two sons; Chris Davis and James Davis of Lake City, FL. Daughters; Brittany Martin (Chris) of Lake City, FL, Ashley Cook (Damon) of Okeechobee, FL, Sherry Davis Jacksonville, FL, and Rachel Shoaf (James) of Vero Beach FL. Mom Dina Ray of Punta Gorda, FL. Five sisters: Tammy Jernigan, Lisa Mullens, Amanda Register and Kimberly Woodruff (Steven), and Kayla Register. Nine grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, January 14th at 1:00 p.m. at Trinity Praise and Worship Center located at Highway 90 East, Lake City, Florida, 32025. Officiating will be under the direction of Ricky and Rhonda Stone. Please come join us and bring a covered dish and let's talk about good memories of Brenda Davis.
