Obituary For Anissa Marie Sells-Osborne
Anissa Marie Sells-Osborne, 56, passed away on May 3, 2026 at the Ocean Pond Campground in Baker County, Florida, where she was employed as a camp host, welcoming travelers to the park.
Born on April 6, 1970, in Tampa, Florida, Anissa was the beloved daughter of Harold Benson Sells and Peggy Lorraine (née Stanley) Sells who preceded her in death, in 2011 and 1999, respectively.
Anissa graduated from Gaither High School in Tampa in 1988. From the time she was in elementary school, she knew she wanted to become a nurse. She pursued that dream with determination and compassion, dedicating her career to caring for others as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Nursing was more than a profession for “Nurse Nissa” — it was her calling and a reflection of her generous spirit.
In November 2012, Anissa married Christopher Osborne and together they made their home in Tennessee. After spending more than twenty years away from Florida, she was overjoyed to return to her home state in December 2025. Being back in Florida brought her great happiness, and she looked forward to this new chapter surrounded by the places she had always held dear.
Anissa was a devoted follower of Christ, she rededicated her life to the Lord and was baptized. She found peace and inspiration in nature, enjoyed spending time outdoors and held a deep love for her country. She had a servant’s heart and was happiest when helping others, whether they walked on two legs or four.
Anissa's life was tragically cut short as a result of domestic violence. She was taken from this world by the hand of the man she loved and married. While her loss is heartbreaking, those who knew her will remember a woman whose life was defined not by the circumstances of her death, but by the compassion, faith, strength and love she shared so freely with others. May her memory be a blessing and a reminder of the importance of supporting and protecting those affected by domestic violence.
Anissa especially adored her beloved pets: her cat, Mr. Sox, and her cherished Chihuahuas, Ella and Chester. In a comfort to those who loved her, her treasured pets are now being lovingly cared for by family and remain safe and cherished.
As an only child, she treasured her family connections and leaves behind several cousins who will cherish her memory.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later time.
"Well done, good and faithful servant." — Matthew 25:23
