Joan Bucknam Brown Reibman died on January 25, 2021 in Tallahassee, Florida at the age of 77. Joan is survived by her two daughters, Rebecca Reibman and Catherine Williams (David), a stepdaughter Christina Haverty, grandchildren Daniella Haverty, Jean Haverty, Kailey Williams, Charlotte Williams, and Jenna Williams, former husband Richard Reibman, many dear cousins, and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband Charles Edward Brown, Jr. and son-in-law Daniel Haverty. Joan was born on December 22, 1943 in Mineola, New York to the late Ralph and Ruth Bucknam.
Joan graduated from the Spence School of New York and Vassar College. She worked as an editor at American Heritage Publishing Company, and a paralegal at Mendes & Mount in New York, New York. Joan retired to Sarasota, Florida and later moved to Tallahassee, Florida.
Joan was previously a member of the Bronxville League of Women Voters, the Edgewood Lane Walking Club, the Westchester Vassar Club, the Reformed Church of Bronxville, the Alliance Francaise of Sarasota, First Presbyterian Church of Sarasota, Sarasota Bridge club, and the Tallahassee Senior Center.
Joan will be remembered as a loving daughter, wife, mother, and friend.
