Della Fronk, 75
Della Elizabeth Fronk, age 75, died peacefully on August 19, 2017 at her daughter’s home in Tallahassee, Florida, after a struggle with Parkinson’s LBD. Preceded in death by beloved parents Damon and Viola (nee Miller) Gill and husband David Lee Fronk. Della was born March 21, 1942, in Liggett, Kentucky.
Della was a beautiful wife, mother, and friend. Her outward elegance, grace, and beauty were reflections of her inner spirit. She was soft spoken, kind, and gentle. She epitomized 1Peter 3:4 “Let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God’s sight is very precious.” (ESV) But, at the same time, her strength was undeniable.
As a teenager, she was a successful model. In 1958, Della married the love of her life, David Lee Fronk. Della and Dave raised two daughters and lived happily on a farm in Moscow, Ohio. Della stayed home to raise her girls until they were out of the house and then she worked as an activities director at Clermont County Senior Services until she retired.
Della was a caregiver her whole life, caring for her elderly in-laws and parents, children, husband, other seniors, and her only sister. She saw this as her calling. She was fun-loving, an avid reader, interested in genealogy, took delight in attending plays and concerts, was interested in history and visiting historic sites and museums, enjoyed going to church and loved to travel. Her grandchildren were her greatest delight. She realized a life long dream when she and her husband took a trip to Ireland, Scotland, and Wales.
Della is survived by her daughters, Shawnee Fronk Reller of Dandridge, Tennessee and Cathy Suzanne Secondo of Tallahassee, Florida. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Jacob (Lindsay) Singleton, Daniel Reller, Michael Reller, Joseph Singleton, Adam Reller, and Ariana Reller.
